Susan Coghlan is the Deputy Division Director for the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) and the project director for the facility’s powerful supercomputing systems including Mira, the fifth fastest supercomputer in the world. She is responsible for overseeing the installation of the supercomputers and ensuring they meet the U.S. Department of Energy’s mission needs. As the Argonne CORAL Acquisition Lead, Susan leads the Argonne team of technical and procurement experts in procuring, preparing for, and deploying the advanced technology and leadership CORAL computers at Argonne. She brings more than 20 years experience as a large scale supercomputer expert and systems integration professional in the HPC field to bear on the CORAL program. She is well known within the HPC community, and has presented numerous tutorials, lectures, and papers on her work.
