Pamela Hill currently manages the Data Analysis Services Group within the Computational and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Pamela leads two teams focused on high-performance parallel file systems, data transfer protocols and 3D visualization services. With over 30 years of experience supporting high-performance computing in national labs, Pamela joined NCAR in 1999 as part of the team installing the first IBM Power Series system and GPFS storage solution. For the past 12 years, Pamela’s focus has been on large scale parallel I/O architectures, I/O network protocols, performance tuning and data management strategies.
